Dear AT&T Wireless et alia

You all generally suck.

I’ve been with you for like five or six years now, and I haven’t upgraded yet to a “free” phone yet. I haven’t because if I do, you force me to sign a contract for two years. And your service is generally crappy and I like to keep my options open. Also, all that contracted “free”-yet-SIMM-locked phone stuff is anti-consumer and should be illegal.

But I could have opted for two “free” phones and suffered through both of the two-year repayment plans for the “freeness” in the time I’ve had the same old rugged just-a-phone Samsung. I kinda feel jipped because my brother loses phones all the time, and I could have in theory given all the extra phones to him.

So, you’ve kinda shafted me for being a careful consumer who doesn’t go for stuff he doesn’t need. Thanks a lot!
