Arlington County finally has announced curbside pickup for recycling of all numbered plastics (#1-7) in the near-future:

Currently the County’s curbside recycling program only allows narrow-necked plastic containers 1 & 2. As renegotiations of the curbside contract are being made, effective April 1, 2009 we will be able to accept all plastics numbers 1-7 at the curbside. However, citizens can now leave the plastic caps on their bottles which will now be recycled also.
You can now recycle all plastic containers (# 1-7) at the Drop-off Centers, including yogurt cups, deli containers, clamshell containers, margarine tubs, and flower pots! This does not include plastic bags or Styrofoam.

Maybe I’ll start eating yogurt again.
