MSNBC’s Kevin Corke speaks with McCain campaign adviser Nancy Pfotenhauer. I like how Corke gives Pfotenhauer a chance to clarify (“climb back off that ledge” of) her “real Virginia” remark.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, commenting to NPR on another questionable remark during an interview, this one by Minnesota Rep. Michele Backmann, says sometimes politicians say stupid things, which probably applies to the “real Virginia” remark as well:
It’s just the nature of talking all day. Some words are gonna come out of your mouth that you could have said better or should have done differently.
