Chris Core, local radio personality started one of those car drivers versus cyclist blogosphere debacles. And he decided to touch on the topic some more with local cyclists on his TV show. Six-minute video via Freewheeling Spirit.

Core’s first words were:

It’s very impractical for a 5,000 lb vehicle capable of going 80 mph to equally share the road with a 20 lb bike that does about 15 tops.

And he goes on about how bad cyclists are and cites Beach Drive as a road cyclists shouldn’t be on. Yadda yadda yadda.

Um, I kinda wish people didn’t drive their 80 mph anywhere but on a restricted freeway. And if you’re going to pick a road that isn’t shareable with cyclists, don’t choose one with a posted speed limit of 25.

Some drivers are holstile, arrogant scoffows; some cyclists are, too. Blah, blah, blah.
